Meet the Microchips Australia team:
Dr Rick Walduck
Rick is a veterinarian with enormous experience in companion animal management and legislation, animal welfare and general veterinary practice. Rick has been the main driver behind the introduction and development of companion animal microchipping in Australia since the late 1980's.
Dr Doug Black
Doug is an avian veterinarian who was also involved in the introduction of microchipping with Rick Walduck in the late 1980's. He sold his veterinary practice in Moama, NSW and re-joined Microchips Australia in 2009. Although involved in all areas of the business, Doug has a special interest in developing RFID remote monitoring systems for zoos, wildlife research, laboratories and industry. He is also continually looking for new and innovative products that meet our high quality standards and fit with the ethos of the company.
Varun has a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Masters degree in Computer Networks and joined the company in 2007. Again, Varun is involved in all areas of the business but is our technological leader - especially in the design and support of the RFID remote monitoring systems as well as IT management and business administration.
Lesley has been working for the company since 1994 and is a key member of our Sales Department involved in processing orders and handling enquiries using her vast experience and knowledge of microchip products.
Tracey is our main sales representative for all Trovan and related products, specialising in microchips and readers for vets, councils and animal welfare organisations.
Sean is involved in sales and support for all of our products with a special interest in the range of GPS tracking products and is actually a very talented professional singer!
